Discover the hidden marine worlds bursting with life on the shoreline without even having to get into the water. Be guided through intertidal zones, usually submerged during high tide, revealing their true beauty when the tide recedes. Learn about marine biology, and appreciate these delicate ecosystems and the animals that live within them.
Meet at either Pasir Ris Park or Changi Beach. As the location varies depending on the tide, such details will be provided by host beforehand.
What can I expect?
Walk along the beach and discover hidden marine life creatures for 1.5 - 2 hours. You will get your feet muddy, wet and sandy!
Who is my host?
Your host, Xiaoyun specialises in environmental history at Yale-NUS College. By day, she's a policy officer strategizing for aviation recovery. By dusk, she's out exploring. Be it pitch-dark forests or knee-deep waters, pre-dawn or past midnight, she's up for adventures and animals!
What should I bring?
Bring aqua shoes or rubber booties, torchlight (if your experience is before dawn and after dusk), water, a handy camera and of course- an adventurous spirit!
Any age restrictions?
There are no age restrictions. Everyone can join in the fun! These programmes are great enrichment for the kiddos!
Group Size?
To ensure everyone gets our undivided attention, groups are of the ratio 4 -6 Participants : 1 Facilitator. No minimum nor maximum pox at all! *Prevailing Covid-19 measures apply.
